Desert Island

We’ve got the sun and sand,
We’ve got the sky and sea:
Come on and take my hand
And go with me!

Daydream on a desert island
With palm trees, coconuts and someone special;
I would be your Man Friday
If you’d be my woman tonight.

I’d cook a fresh-caught fish on an open fire
With more stars in the sky than the shore’s got sand,
And with your nose next to my ear,
We would snuggle through the morning light.

We’ve got the sun and sand,
We’ve got the sky and sea:
Come on and take my hand
And go with me!

Throw your watch away on the next wet wave
And soak up the sun until you’re all dried out.
I would build you a bamboo duplex
If you’d let me move in with you.

I would sing you to sleep with a lullaby
And I’d comb your hair with a whipperback bone
And if the days run out of time,
We would do it tomorrow too.

We’ve got the sun and sand,
We’ve got the sky and sea:
Come on and take my hand
And go with me!

Daydream on a desert island
With palm trees, coconuts and bamboo house.
We’ve got the sun and the sand,
The sky and sea,
Take my hand
And go with me!
