Jamie McFadden

Jamie McFadden lives out in the country, away from the cities and towns.
He likes peace and quiet—you cannot deny it. Say “civilization,” he frowns.
But he likes television, the sports and the movies, Star Trek, the soaps and the news.
But without any cable, he just wasn’t able till the space industry cured his blues.

Now there’s one big satellite dish perched on the top of his home.
He likes what he sees but it’s still not enough, so he’s bringing another one home.

Jamie McFadden has ten VCRs to tape all the stuff that he’d miss.
Be careful, don’t fall, there’s cassettes wall to wall to bring about his viewing bliss.
Now there’s one, two, three of those dishes perched on the top of his home.
He likes what he sees but it’s still not enough, so he’s bringing another one home.

Jamie’s decor looks like Star Wars gone crazy; he doesn’t eat much anymore.
But there’s a new one in orbit and though he can’t afford it, he’s off to the satellite store.
Now there’s twenty-seven big dishes perched on the top of his home.
He likes what he sees but it’s still not enough, so he’s bringing another one home.

Someone is climbing from under the rubble that once used to be Jamie’s house.
And now he can stand with a patch cord in hand to plug in and tape Mickey Mouse.
Now this unbelievable pile of more dishes than NASA, JFK Airport, the Pentagon, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena combined is all Jamie has to his name.
He hasn’t lost heart though his house fell apart, and he’s taping the Rose Bowl game!
